Default Ray's Test

Patriot LS1/LS6 cylinder heads
67cc, 2.055 intakes 1.60 exhaust
Patriot Dual Valve Springs: O.D. 1.260
135lb seated, 370 lb open
Titanium Retainers/steel keepers
OEM rockers and bolts.

Based on the casting marks and the D-shaped exhaust ports they are probably LS6
heads.

These heads have about 8000 miles on them.

As received, the rocker arm stud holes had thin, approximately 9mm outer diameter
thread inserts installed. These were a problem: five of them pulled out. I replaced
them with KeyLock inserts. (See photos) The KeyLock inserts are larger in diameter
(12 or 14mm), have thicker walls and coarser threads than the original inserts.
The KeyLock inserts are held in place with four pins that are set through the threads
after the insert is installed to the proper depth. They cannot be removed by backing
them out. They must be drilled out. In addition the KeyLock inserts were installed
with Permatex Red threadlocker and Permatex # 24163 Surface Prep activator for
anaerobics (Red threadlocker). They have been checked by a local machine shop and
will not pull out.

They need new valve seals. ($20 at your local parts store.)

I cannot answer questions concerning applicability to specific installations.

$450.00 plus shipping. The heads weight approximately 55 lbs packed. We can determine
shipping charges before purchase. Will deliver within 150 miles of O'Fallon, IL (25
miles east of St. Louis, MO on I-64) at no charge.
