That size limit is for your profile pic that goes at the top of your profile page, had the samr problem at first. You need to click user CP then sig edit, then icon for adding img. at this time a box will appear at top of screen to put link to where your pic is hosted (use copy/paste to transfer link). if you look in my web site under photos you'll see my sig picture hosted there, all I did was right click on pic choose properties then highlight and copy link to paste into box from sig edit page. Hope this helps and makes sense for you. I'll add this to subscribe so as to answer any questions you might have.
