No demands were made. I did deny the car wash.

I said that with the trade in car and the sales price of our purchase that there is room for them to still make money. Unless GM bills them for the 2,000+ dash and days of labor.

Rick Hendrick is clear that they fully inspected the car and those defects are acceptable by GM factory like standards. So which is it? Either the dealership is correct and GM is very misleading in the advertising of the GM certified process.

Closing this one, as per the rules, and moving it to the Transactions Feedback section.

If there are any updates, let me know and I'll add them to this thread.

As an aside, I note that the OP started three threads on this issue. The other two have been removed since this thread seems to cover the issues and the rules prohibit posting the same issue multiple times. Please note the rules also prohibit piling on by third-parties who have no direct knowledge of the dispute at hand. Moderators try to show some tolerance, particularly when the third-parties offer advice that might be useful to the OP or others in similar situations. Speculation and name-calling is not appropriate, whether by a third-party or one of the parties directly involved.

The OP reports the following for an update:

-Dash was reglued by local dealership. Worked good for few weeks and then required a full replacement. About 4 days of being without our "no worries GM certified car".

GM customer service complaint went nowhere. The intial customer service reps was on my side. But the claim was moved up to higher managers and they denied any wrong doing on the dealership part.

- Time for recon and intell gathering. Armed with a body camera I visited the other Hendrick dealership in Atlanta. As a potential customer I asked about the cert process. "any car on the lot can be certified... they have all been inspected and just need paperwork to make them official" Even the Hertz rental Corvette. "yes". I then pressed for more intell and was able to get the manager to give me a copy of the official dealership only GM standards for inspection. After reviewing the standards and knowing that the dealership was dead wrong in its inspection, I filled suit.

Court Date is now set.
OP says the court date is June 21, 2012 and I've asked him to update us with the outcome.
