Default Looking for Corvette Specialist in greater Portland, OR

My 1976 stingray had a leaking problem whenever it rained – water would flood the floors inside the car with heavy rainfall – so I took it to a specialist named James at GM Toys in Portland, OR. I was referred to him by my regular mechanic, who said he couldn't fix the problem. James replaced the weather stripping and said it would be good.

This past winter came, and after a period of some serious rain, the interior was completely flooded again. The weather stripping is intact, and it was hardly driven at all between the time it was replaced and when it rained. Pretty disappointing as I was charged over $900 for the parts and labor, which is way way way overcharged but I basically had to take it up the tailpipe because he was the only specialist I could find.

Now it's summer and I'd like to take it out of the garage again without having to worry about the occasional rain giving me grief. I've been trying to reach James @ GM Toys for months as its been under a year since he did the work and it was guaranteed, but he has moved his shop to Washington, and has not answered his phone or returned any of my voicemails. So if anyone has ANY recommendations for Corvette specialists in the greater Portland Metro area, or even Vancouver WA, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks much

While this thread's title and last line suggested "looking for" a new tech, almost the entire post is a complaint about a transaction, so it will be moved to Transactions Feedback.

If you want to do another thread on "looking for" you can do one. I'd also suggest a "looking for" thread in the Regional section of the forum.
