back on the 1st I sold a brand new corvette top to a guy I do t know his screen name but his real name is Jeremiah or Jerry McMahon. I have pics of the item I sold and all and is brand new in perfect condition. Yesterday I get an email from him stating it’s all damaged and what not with all kind of pics some not even the same color and all. So I went back into my text and texted him and asked if it was even him. He then goes off on me and say I was screwing him over and I had no idea where he is going at with all of this. He then called and cussed me out and said we was gong to come here and kick my *** and all kind of stuff. I dont do business like that and don’t want anyone else to get scammed like this either by him. I don’t know how I can send you all the pics of it all but it is easy to see the top he is sending pics of is not the top I sent him by any means. He has since called my job because I work at gm and tried to start some big issues and making threats to my job.
I don't see a 4th foam block. Did you wrap the top before you put it in the box to ship? Is it possible it wasn't packed properly and that is shipping damage?
I don’t know his screen name because he texted me direct on it but his real name is in the above. When he first was buying it from me he said he had and old one he wanted to take the hardware off of and put on mine since it was brand new and didn’t have the hardware. Later he says he had the white one that he was taking the hardware off and all. All in all he is trying to scam people out of money l. He then said give him 250 dollars back so he could get it repainted. Sorry to say but if I was to get a top like the one he is sending pics of and it’s suppose to be brand new I would want a refund not a credit because there is nothing you can even do to fix the bottom of his being that’s it’s all faded and all the over spray and all everywhere on it. I wish I could figure out his screen name so I could let everyone know to be warned of him.
I'm thinking he took pictures of his old one that he's replacing, and is representing that it's the one you sent him.
I agree that sure dont look like the same top to me at all, OP here did you top have those numbers in your like is showing up the the one he sent you pic's of that he is saying is your top. I mean the $ that someone one wrote in marker. Did your have those on it. I didnt see no # on the pic's that you posted up. Robert
I had this happened once selling a single wheel years ago. I sent out a wheel in perfect condition, the buyer says I sent a damaged wheel and was combative toward me to put on a facade he was wronged for his case with paypal. He had curbed a wheel was looking for a way to get a free wheel. Luckily in the pictures he posted his wheel had a black center cap. In my wheel pictures I did not include a center cap at all. Had to do back and forth with paypal but they ruled against him. Good luck to you, hope your situation works out.
