Default Ron Tonkin Chevrolet

I suggest NEVER visiting them. They're SNAKES from the service manager on down and the reason auto dealerships have a bad reputation.

If one must seek their service, regardless of what is stated, READ each line before signing.

Also, obtain a second opinion. It was found that their claimed issue was NOT an issue.

I won't get into details online, because there have been instances of large businesses suing individuals. Of course, knowing they're wrong, but also aware that the "little guy" doesn't have the means to defend himself against high priced attorneys and forcing a retraction.

The claimed (secondary) issue was that there was something wrong with the TPMS sensors and the vehicle wouldn't read them. It was taken elsewhere and in literally 2 minutes it was confirmed that they're fully functional.

Well I can certainly see why someone might sue you.

I've steered away from ANY Tonkin dealership as long as I've lived in Oregon

Well done. I discovered a few years ago that they should be avoided, but with Wentworth recently closing (they were amazing!), I felt it would be convenient. Lesson learned.

I've been using Suburban Chev in Sandy. Always a great experience.

It's a bit of a distance, but I always enjoy the drive!

You're the second person since this happened that's recommended them. Thank you!

If a non dealer shop can do the job, I highly recommend Mark Chase Automotive in Clackamas on 82nd Drive near the DEQ. Have been dealing with him for nine years. BTW, he recommends Suburban Chevrolet for dealer work!

I stumbled onto this thread and thought I would share a genuinely disappointing update for anyone who hadn't heard - Suburban Chevrolet is Dick Hannah Chevrolet now.
