Default Boy, am I stupid!

Ordered a common part for my 03 C5, window regulator, online and got shipped something for another car.
I notified the vendor and was told it was a non returnable item.
My credit card company will take care of it but had I just looked at the right forum here I would have seen the company I ordered from was crap.
Never again.
Am I stupid or what?

No, you are not stupid. It happens to many if not all of us when dealing with ordering on the internet. I believe most of us want to consider businesses to be honest and trustworthy. Unfortunately, there are many out there (to include some that are on this forum) that do not live by those standards.

The question is, DID YOU ORDER THE CORRECT PART? or did THEY ship you something OTHER Than the part number you ordered?

Crazy that they won't taker it back if it is unused/never installed.

Even worse if THEY screwed up (and most likely sent you an item they had abundance of with malicious intent to fraud you).

Glad your credit card is taking care of it for you!!

All C5's, every year, have the same driver's side regulator or a passenger's side regulator. I ordered the passenger side and got something that will not fit. Totally different. It's not the drivers side either. Don't know what it's for.

Don't want to say right now on this forum. PM me and I will tell you.
Had I looked I would have found out they have been removed from here as a vendor for awhile.
My bad.

Have a picture of what you received? I just replaced mine. Also, there was an update to the electrical connector.

Just google window regulator for C5 and you will see the picture. That's not what I received.
I replaced one also.

Maybe you are stupid for not sending me a PM if you wanted to know. Got three PM and answered them.
I just don't like mentioning sorry vendor names on a forum.
It's moot now.
The guys already guessed who it was.

The complaints for this former vendor just keep on coming. Members should also beware of the other name they sell under as well which is Moderngenauto. Same company, same address...

figures, don't be afraid to speak up though if we all kept quiet that would allow bad vendors to keep taking advantage of people

just noticed that you aren't too far, maybe you could pay him a visit

I know that it's probably a moot point by now, but just curious...did you order the correct part number, and they sent you something else, or was the box you received labelled correctly, with the wrong part in it, or did you inadvertently order the wrong part?

Yeah, I ordered their part number on their website showing a passenger side window regulator for a 1997-2004 C5 Corvette. The only number available from them.
That's what the order shows. There wasn't any paperwork in the box showing a part number. There's no part number on the part I got or on the box. Looks like they made a box to ship it in.
I tried to put it in but the mounting studs are too short and there's no way to attach it.
I have put a regulator in before so this is not a new experience for me.
It's just the wrong part.
I have taken a lot of pics showing all the differences for the dispute.
In the meanwhile I have a new one being delivered on Wednesday from another source with good references.
