Default My experience with EOS (ExtremeOnlineStore)

So I’m hoping to see if anyone has any advice for me on this situation.

About 3 or so weeks ago I ordered a set of 4 diffuser fins for my C7 Z51 from EOS as I’ve heard good things on their products. The week after ordering they come in. The package seemed fine and came with instructions that were very clear and easy to follow. And just to make sure, I was watching YouTube videos on installing these just in case. So I continue to drill the correct holes into my diffuser and begin installing the fins. Before installing, i noticed that all 4 fins were labeled “Left”, which confuses me because everyone who has installed these say that there should be two fins that say “left” and two fins that say “right” but nonetheless I continue to install all 4 fins. After installing all 4 I notice that the driver side fins are leaning more to the left making it look extremely crooked. This has given me reason to believe that I was sent two pairs of passenger side fins. To confirm my theory I swapped the fins and once again, the fins leaned more to the left on the driver side and the passenger side fit was fine and looked good. As I’ve stated before, the drilling instructions were very clear and I had no issue with that. So I contacted EOS through email. They asked me to send them photos to confirm which I was more than happy too. I sent them many photos in detail to show the offset of the fins on the driver side. After sometime they agree to send me a replacement set of driver side fins.

A week later, the replacement set comes in. As I open the package and I inspect the fins, they both have Left on them. Without even installing them, I put them up against my diffuser and once again, they lean more to the left indicating that it is another passenger side pair. At this point I’m very disappointed and contact EOS immediately. They once again get back to me stating that they are confident those are the correct pairs. I continue to explain that it makes no sense when i told them numerous times that the two pairs I originally received said left meaning that I needed a pair that had “right” on them. They then say that they can send me another replacement pair. I then send an email to them asking for a confirmation that a pair of fins would be sent that have “right” on them and they have yet to respond to me.

Last email they sent me was Monday April 13th. It is now Thursday and I haven’t heard back from them. I have emailed them once again yesterday and have tried callling many times. Now given the circumstances of COVID and them being based in CA, I understand that could create some problems. Let me be very clear, the intent of this post was not to give EOS backlash. I have numerous photos for proof and I have even offered to return the two pairs of passenger side fins as I or anyone else have no use for them. The fins that were sent are very affordable compared to other competitors and look very nice on the car. My passenger side looks amazing and its a simple mod that makes the rear of the car look so much better. The instructions were very clear and I had no problems with them or the packaging. I’m only asking for advice and your guys opinions on this situation. As I do not know what to do now. Anything piece of advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try calling them, i had a tough time to talk to anyone there when i was shopping for side skirts. Finally i was about to talk to someone after sending several pms.

This was last month before lock down happened.

You get what you pay for. Read too many negative experiences with their quality and service. ACS Composite has first class service and better quality.

$479.00 USDPresenting the all new ACS-C7 Rear Diffuser Dual fin system. Two fins per tunnel!

After relentless investigation and consumer demand, ACS developed an additional fin system that improves upon our previous creation of the single fin system. Now a 2x2 fin system, the added fin on each tunnel of the C7 adds some serious kick-*** attitude to the vehicle's derriere. Of course, as with all our components, these visually stimulating additions will do more for your Corvette than just aesthetics. Our diffuser fins will help to:
  • Stimulate airflow in the integrated diffuser by redirecting the rear airflow in a linear direction, helping to improve airflow in the undercarriage.
  • Boost the vehicle’s aerodynamics as a result of a reduction in turbulent air at the rear end. The diffusers act to direct fast-moving air away from the undercarriage as it decelerates and expands.
‘High performance design’ is not synonymous with perfect design and each ACS addition is constructed with the intention of making subtle tweaks that drive your vehicle closer to the edge of design perfection.

The facts: ACS-C7 Stingray Corvette diffuser dual Fins
  • Painted in Carbon Flash Black finish to match your car’s diffuser
  • Designed for all Stingray C7s, coupes, convertibles, Z06 & Grand Sport.
  • Complements existing OEM diffuser.
  • Manufactured in highest quality ABS composite material. Same material as the diffuser already on your car.
  • Simple installation (with supplied templates) using 3 SEM bolts each side.
  • 25 minute per side installation time.

since all fins say left.... all you had to do was take a photo of the 4 fins with the impression " left on them " … They may have received a bad batch..all lefts and and are trying to fix that but china is along way off. IM not defending them.. I dont know how you paid, but most like4ly with a credit card.. you might want to either threaten them with a credit card dispute.. or actually follow through with it. and just get your money back... I would contact them every day and ask to see right hand fins before you send more left hand fins.
Just my opinion..

Sorry to hear of your troubles - I used EOS for splitter and winglets.

1st splitter arrived scuffed up
winglets arrived totally full of scratches and lumps in the plastic

EOS guy says he didn’t have any defect free winglets to send out -

he then sends me a second front splitter, bodyshop had to repaint and sand it because it was so bad, then when they tried to fit it, it didn’t line up or fit at all well.

needless to say I sent it all back and called ACS... which is what I would suggest u do.
call ACS, get a good set of 4, and send back the EOS stuff.

I too recently purchased and installed a set of EOS rear diffusers. Pretty much ran into the same situation as you did. I installed the passenger side first and noticed they were tilted towards the right side. I thought I read the labels wrong so I switched the pair marked R (For right) around and still had the same problem so I gave them a call and explained the problem to them. I asked if it's possible the diffuser was marked wrong and he said they are very careful about the labeling and packaging of the fins and asked for me to take and send some pictures. When I got off the phone I decided to completely switch the diffuser fins around on the off chance they are marked wrong. I installed the pair marked L to the driver's side and vice versa and they fit correctly. So much for their careful checking and packaging. I called them first thing Monday morning to let them know and the voice mail said the message box was full, imagine that! I then sent a long email voicing my displeasure. Other than that the fins look good. If you do get around to mounting the diffuser fins, it wouldn't hurt to add a washer to the bolt to give you a more solid and secure mount.

I definitely am a huge fan of ACS. The fins were one of the few things where I felt like you couldn’t get wrong which is why I went with EOS. But they managed to mess up something simple. I appreciate the feedback and ACS will be who I use for everything.

it sucks to know someone has the same experience. And I definitely agree. Thank you for the feedback, glad to know I’m not alone, the idea for the washers are a great idea and I will definitely use them for all the bolts.

I just installed a pair of EOS fins on my z51 and they were labeled left and right but you need to stand in front of car left is passenger side and right is drivers side not when your in the back of the car thinking drivers side is left and passenger is right but when I tried them right side on drivers and left on passenger they fit great and look good a couple of very small gaps but you really have to look. The only problem I had was one was not glued great and came apart when installing and I noticed they are only glued so I had brand new tube of crazy glue so I glued back together and is probably better than the other cause they are only glued on the ends. But look good carbon flash paint looks great too. Hope they fix your problem..
