Default Speed engineering are scams

They’re a bunch of scams. I ordered headers from them over the weekend and I got a call this morning saying that I will be getting refunded for something they already took my money for. They were headers on clearance for $400 and new ones run $485 but the new ones weren’t in stock so I couldn’t order. I ordered the clearance item and they’re website “glitched” and allowed for more than one order to go through. They should have the courtesy to send me a new item since it was THEIR mistake and they’ve taken my money but to them $85 is worth bad reviews and a bad name for their company. I haven’t seen worse service in my life and I would steer anyone away from speed engineering. All they care about is your money. I told him that he can’t refund my money and I want headers but he went against what I told him and refunded it. Absolute garbage company. I hope the $85 they saved makes them feel richer knowing there’s bad word going around about their company. Turns out the claims for great customer service were a bunch of bs

How angry would you be if they kept your money and didn't ship anything? Give them credit for "manning up" and refunding your money for something they could not ship.

I would have liked to see them keep my money buddy. It’s not about manning up. They promised a product and failed to deliver and I don’t see what’s so “manly” about that. Accepting my order and abiding to a contract to ship the product out and then backing down? Doesn’t seem so “manly” to me

I do not see a scam here, merely a minor mistake.

You said the new one's at $485 weren't in stock. That sounds to me like they didn't have anything to ship you. Rather than holding your money and making you wait until they had stock, they made the offer to refund your money.

why don’t they take a hit for a mistake they made and send out new headers once they’re in stock. I don’t mind waiting. Just **** customer service
