Default Marc at Vettenuts

I really don’t want to post this review because I’ve had great experiences with Marc at Vettenuts over the years, but it’s worth noting.

I purchased a c5 lower radiator support from Marc. It’s listed in their website for $289.

https://www.vettenuts.net/index.php?...t_detail&p=320

I also paid an additional charge to have the it painted black, $40. They charged me $60 for shipping.

Total paid $390.

Marc told me on the phone that he was getting some new inventory in from his “overseas supplier.” Welllllll, come to find out Marc’s “supplier” is Tom at VetteMasters who sells the exact same product on EBay for $250 plus FREE shipping.

The only reason why I learned this info is that Marc had the item shipped to him from VetteMasters and simply was too lazy to take off the old shipping label before he shipped it to me so I was able to see the original label of the part and package.

To make things worse, when I received the part, it was bent, damaged, and the paint was chipped off. Marc told me that 99% of these get damaged in shipping. Well, perhaps they should be packaged better when one pays $60 for shipping. There was no bubble wrap at all and the box looked like it had been used several times for shipping. The sides of the radiator support had torn holes in the box and hanging out of the box.

All in all, I’m disappointed in Vettenuts. This is no way to do business. People spend their hard earned dollars on parts. While $400 may seem like not a lot of money to them, I expected my part to arrive without damage. $60 shipping should at least Include some bubble wrap. Marc told me I should just use some pliers to bend it back into shape and then go out and buy some black paint to fix all of the chipping.

Moreover, Marc just bought the part from vette masters, slapped a new shipping label on the same box, marked it up about $150 and shipped it to me. This is ridiculous.

When I asked for a price match, Marc told me that VetteMasters priced him out of the market at $250 with the free shipping and that the would remove the listing from his website, but that hasn’t happened. The part is still on their website.

Finally, it took over 6 weeks to even get a response from Marc on these issues. He basically ignored me hoping I would go away.

yeah. Super unfortunate. Other than corsa exhaust, I’ve only bought 3 aftermarket parts, including this one. I’ve had problems with all 3 vendors. Either damaged parts or warranty issues.

I’ve been restoring this car for about 2 years now, spent about $16k, and have always either bought from rockauto or gm direct. Never had a single problem with those two vendors.

a lot of these other guys just get the quick dollar, and then ghost you on issues. There are more “corvette mods” type companies out there than people realize.

For a brand-new member, it’s almost like you have been here before.
