Default Eastcoast supercharging

Anybody else order from ECS this year and still waiting on parts?
I ordered a supercharger kit along with headers and a meth kit. Everything seems to be here except the supercharger head unit. I payed for the order on February 22 and I’m still waiting on the head unit with no communications of when I should be expecting it. I emailed Chris from ECS 2 Saturday’s ago and left him a message to call me back this morning and never heard back from him. This seems to be turning into a very disappointing experience with them. I had heard good things about them and was figuring on a smooth transaction from them but now I’m starting to worry about what’s going on over there.

let me be clear I’m not bashing them yet but I’m going on 3 months now and I’m starting to think enough time has gone by and I should have answers when things will arrive

A search shows TONS of bad reviews of them. Hopefully they do right by you but that doesn’t seem the norm.

John you are 100% correct, we have had a shortage of head units since Covid and at the moment we are about 40 orders in the rears with Paxton. The plant was shut down when workers got sick and they have not been able to catch up yet. This is going on throughout the entire industry, not just Paxton, we have been having a terrible time getting everything from air filters to blow-off valves.

I asked Chris about your email and he said it was his mistake, you emailed on a Saturday when we at a large car show event and he forgot to get back to you, we apologize for that. I looked at the call logs and you left a message at 2:30 yesterday and Chris called you back this morning within 24 hours which I personally think is acceptable for the volume of phone calls we get daily.

Again I'm sorry you feel you did not have a positive experience with us, if you would like to return the kit for a refund we will be happy to do so, otherwise your head unit is scheduled to arrive to you very soon. Literally, the same day head units come they leave, we are doing the best we can given these "unprecedented times"...

As far as posting negative reviews on us, I do hope you realize that we have been in business for over 20 years, we have sold thousands and thousands of supercharger kits over that time frame with thousands of positive reviews. To be perfectly honest with you I think what you posted is a little unwarranted, I could very easily respond with pages and pages of positive reviews, but I'm not going to waste that time, we are very busy to say the least.

Frankly, you would have to sift through a far greater amount of positive reviews to find the negative, several of them, if not most of them, we don't even know who they are nor did we ever do any business with them. I guess you have made it when you have haters? It is easy to tell which ones they are because they have zero content to them. This post he is lacking a head unit and he made that clear, the bad reviews with no content are from people we never interacted with.

I’m curious how long the average wait time is to get a full kit nowadays. I’m currently saving up for one and would be willing to wait. As the saying goes the best things come to those who wait. just would be good to know what to expect so I can plan around it. Thank you.

Head unit lead time has been about 4-6 weeks at the moment, it was 2-3 a few weeks ago but the spring rush has come and pushed it back a little farther. If you know you will be ready in that time frame you may want to call in with a deposit to get yourself in line.

Thanks for your business!

Sometime a little patience goes a long way, besides these are difficult times.

Well written response from the vendor. They did not get personal or emotional but stated some basic info and apologized. Good sign about this vendor in my opinion. I have seen vendor responses go horribly wrong at times when the post was negative. Nice to see it did not go that way.

That was a professional response from the vendor, no name calling or ducking the issue

I’ve asked for the post to be removed but they won’t take it down because it’s part of their own rules I guess.... There was some miscommunication between myself and them and they have reached out to me numerous times explaining everything that’s been going on Covid related. There have been numerous vendors that they are dealing with as far as delays go. I’ve heard so many good things about ECS that any of those old negative post is unwarranted.
we are living through different times because of Covid and I have personally ran into long delayed products of All sorts of things, hell I just got my living room set in last week that I ordered in the first week of December 2020!!

I would like to say that they have been nothing but professional with me up to this point. Chris even talked me out of stuff that he very well could of sold me to just make a couple bucks. I was just getting a little discouraged because of the timeline that was completely out of their control and both Chris and Doug have been great just extremely busy...lol.
