Eckler frustration...anybody else?
Just wondering if anyone else is or has had issues with ordering from Eckler's lately? I don't like buying from them, but they seemed to have all the parts I needed, so I thought. I ordered a ton of stuff for my car since the weather here has finally cooled off enough to actually work on it now that winter is here. Everything that I ordered said it was in stock, hence me ordering the items. I did receive my order except for one item. No email that it wasn't being shipped, was back-ordered or a possible time frame when it might ship... NOTHING! I waited for a few days and no word on the item. Since I need the item to put things back together...I've tried to contact them. I've been trying to contact them by phone for over a week now and no matter what time I call I get put on hold forever with the same high call volume recording. They have high call volume at 9am their time when they open, everyday? So, I finally decided to send email to their service@ecklers.net like they say to do while on hold forever. I did, also with no reply. I'm frustrated as hell right now with that company and will no longer do any business with them anymore even if they were the only company on the face of the planet with what I needed. Me having to be on hold for over an hour each time I call is absolutely ridiculous for any company. I've also sent email to their sales department and will see if they respond.
I guess it's time to let the CC company deal with them since I'm done. I did find the item at a different vendor and is on the way. Thank you Top Flight/Corvette America.

Went through the same exact thing. Multiple emails asking for a status and never a response. I eventually got a hold someone on the phone after a couple of attempts but was able to get through early in the day. At that point I just canceled it since they had no idea on when it might ship. Probably won't use them again if I don't have to.
Been having much better luck with Davies Corvette. Their customer service has been fantastic.
I had an issue in the spring. A lot of items weren't coming up in web searches but WOULD come up if I entered the item number (from their catalog). So they had the item but somehow wasn't listed on their C3 section of the website. It was quite a few items too. I ordered them (from the catalog numbers) and they arrived out of the blue pretty quickly actually. But I never received any shipping updates or confirmations. Except one item didn't arrive. I called them and it was out of stock (although when I ordered it indicated it was in stock. I wasn't charged for it - ok. They said it would ship when it arrived. That was months ago and it never came. I would call again, but it was a $15 part (that I wasn't charged for) and it'll probably consume $20 of my time. I'm assuming either the lingering item was canceled or never re-stocked.
If you have your order number you can look it up on their website ..by order number. You probably figured that out. I used to order from Ecklers all the time. Like you say, they seem to have an unbeatable selection and a pretty good catalog. The last order I placed was because they had everything, whereas other corvette parts places didn't ...I didn't want to pay multiple shipping and handling from multiple vendors.
Soooo... I don't have any advice, perhaps try calling again mid-day when call volume should be low (or very first thing in the AM (before others start calliing). I got 90% of my last order a timely manor, and fortunately the item I didn't receive is just a decal, nothing that'll hold up my project. Ecklers used to be the best site for ordering and looking parts up. The so-called "Improved website" since they've grown and gobbled up other companies, is anything but 'improved'. They should have people who monitor these forums to jump on any problems and fix them before they get out of hand. I don't get the feeling they do.
I've for sure ordered more from Ecklers than any other part's seller, mostly bc of the selection. Never had problems with their customer service either, quite honestly. People beat up on Ecklers but I've had good experiences. Corvette Central also, has always provided really good service for me when I've called/ordered and one of the few independent old-time corvette parts sellers out there. I would give Corvette Centeral a thumbs up. I used to like Corvette America a lot too, and have ordered quite a bit from them ..till they sold out. I can't say how they are nowadays. Their website severely sucked after the take over and it was too difficult or impossible to find the parts I knew they used to sell. LOL. It seemed like they were more intent on telling the world that TopFlight is in control, than making the customer experience better than what it used to be (Well it AIN'T!) . It was a major step backwards (at least at that time). What a great idea: Let's take over a company but we'll go 'live' on a new website that's vastly inferior and anger (and turn off) long-time customer base customers!! I've never been back to TopFlight's site and don't know if I'll ever order from them again. What I saw was a major dis-improvement of C/A's site and didn't really like the smell how T/F couched the Corvette America take-over or handled the integration (from a former customer's standpoint)..
Does anyone ever order Corvette parts from Year One??
I also have an issue with Ecklers. Ordered wheel trim rings a while back from them because they listed them as "in stock" Waited, waited and waited. Still have not arrived. When I recently checked the order status is says "on backorder". Who knows when or if they will ever show up. I will never order from Ecklers again.

It's been a long while since I purchased anything from them, probably back in my C5 days. From time to time, I read a thread such as this and kind of shake my head of yes, the arrogance that some vendors develop over the years.
Ecklers doesn't make anything, they are basically freight forwarders, middlemen, who just order the parts from others. Don't know what their profit margin is, but I do know when someons orders a part, and you are ignored trying to find out why you didn't get it, that's just **** poor customer relations. Those orders should at a minimum be reversed and payment returned. That kind of inattention alone would warn me never to do business with them again.
Can we say degenerating to shades of "Corvette Mods"?......Hummm?
What is going on with Willcox?
Anyway I have been using Corvette Pacifica for the last 4 years no issues. Used Willcox lately for wiring and Top flight automotive (corvette amerrica) for some bodymount repair sections. No issues at all only Willcox forgot on 2 small parts and I'm still waiting for a refund on those.

I also have an issue with Ecklers. Ordered wheel trim rings a while back from them because they listed them as "in stock" Waited, waited and waited. Still have not arrived. When I recently checked the order status is says "on backorder".
Same here, ordered a temp gauge that the website said was on order, but two weeks later my order status was then changed to backordered. I emailed them to cancel the order, one good thing is they had not charged my credit card yet.
Ordered from another vendor that confirmed the gauge was in stock, and part was shipped the following business day.
These days, I try to confirm parts are in stock before ordering them if I need it in a timely manner.
Surely I’m not the only one who shops around for the best pricing and fastest shipping time?
When shopping for a part, I usually compare prices with the big companies, but typically find very comparable prices on flea bay, many times cheaper prices, and flea bay sellers usually have the items in stock.
For instance, I found my Borgeson steering setup on flea bay for $650, and free shipping, whereas most of the big box companies wanted $750-$900 for the same exact setup.
Just my .02.

Are they even still in business? They won't answer the phone, they won't answer e-mails. I understand delays happen, but this was something that they were supposed to have in stock. I even received an email that the items were being shipped....now they wont provide tracking! all I want is a freakin' status! As a 20+ year customer, I'm DONE with them!
Interestingly, I just noticed no mention of corvette parts on Year One's website. I did a Google search and a Y/O Corvette catalog did show up, but says "Discontinued".
Corvette parts must have been a flop for them and they dropped out. I was kind of wondering how they'd break into that crowded market. They've always had a deep history in Mopar, although now they sell a lot more muscle-car lines, e.g. Firebird, Camaro, Mustang, Pickup, etc..

Thanks for all your input, so I guess my hunch was correct. Their customer service sucks and IS non-existent. Again, the ONLY reason I ordered from Eckler's was because they were "supposed" to have the items in stock. At least Top Flight had the part as well and it will be here Thurs according to UPS. I can at least start putting things back together Thursday. I can remember back about two decades ago that Eckler's was OK, but no more. I also used to use Paragon corvette reproductions for a lot of stuff back then as well with no issues. Haven't used them in like forever though. It also seems like a lot of the major resto houses have changed their websites I guess trying to keep up with the times? Most of them now suck and are NOT user/customer friendly.I tried again today at 9am FL time when they open and got the same recording, "due to high call volume... Ugh!
I have a Harley buddy that is down in Key West right now and told him to stop in to Eckler's on the way home and CANCEL my order in person.

Eckler's contacted me today because of one of the members here, that knows someone there, and forwarded this thread to them. Whoever you are, thank you for the help and I hope this is a done deal now. Hey Hal, I do not believe that Willcox is a thing anymore, but I could be wrong. Their site has been down a while and NO comments on here about anything from them.

Congrats on that. Perhaps "someone" that knows someone at Ecklers can ask them how they can list something as "in stock", take your money and then after waiting it turns out the item is on backorder with no delivery estimate. No communication at all. Ecklers is TRASH. Boycott them!!!. Going only with ZIP from now on. Great customer service and a legitimate customer friendly company.

Ya know... It's funny you should mention that. When Eckler's reached out to me to make it right, I sent a reply and minutes before I sent the reply I captured a screen shot of the item that I ordered that was backordered. It STILL showed that the item was IN STOCK. They have inventory management issues for sure. I'm just glad as hell its over and thank you member X.
