Default Supervettes Dispute

Hi all. I've been using this Corvette Forum since I bought my first 2005 C6 Base model when I was 40. At 45 I traded that in for a 2010 C6ZR1 and continually find answers to questions I need on this site. I finally created an account and joined today because I felt the need to pass on information to others in the car community to be aware ... Last year back in June I wanted to upgrade my diffuser to a carbon fiber diffuser and after a day of emails, phone calls, and texts, ended up ordering one from Supervettes.com. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. ... I think it used to be a sound, legit, company but has not been for the last few years. Unfortunately, I did not realize this before I ordered something from them. It was supposed to be delivered in 4 weeks and I received texts, or emails stringing me on with excuse after excuse after excuse until finally in Sept. I filed a fraud claim with my credit card company and they started an investigation. I was refunded my $2149 from my credit card company, but it was just lucky that I saved all my correspondence including texts, emails and unanswered call log to back up my claims. It wasn't a mistake or accident. This company took my money immediately ... My advice is do tons of research before ordering anything from any business and check out their reviews before making a purchase, and always use your credit card for the purchase, so that you have a chance at getting your money back and being defended. I was naive and blown away from pics from the website and envisioning it on my car, and almost lost a lot of money if it weren't for my credit card company backing me up and investigating.
I hope this saves at least one person aggravation and or loss of funds... Drive on all !!!

Thanks for the tip as it will probably save another member some grief if he/she planned on placing an order with this company. Otherwise, welcome to the forum and we're glad you joined.
GOOD LUCK with your Corvette and come back soon.
