Default Request from Vetteman Jack

I am responding to a request from admin to post details of a dispute between @jost6453 and myself @Stormcrowe .
Firstly, shame on me for possibly missing some red flags. Yeah, sorry.
On 7 Oct 11:56 AM (Friday) I responded to a FS Shift **** posted by seller. I don't have access to the original thread evidently, so I am unable to directly reference that interaction. Seller identified himself as Connor Dalton, gave me his phone # and instructed to communicate via same. Cut to the chase... I sent payment via PayPal to the number we were using to communicate. Seller responded, that is not the number associated with my PayPal and to send payment instead to his email connordalton67@yahoo.com. I apologized for jumping the gun, advised seller to hang tight until I can contact PayPal to cancel that transfer, which they did. I then resent payment to the aforementioned email account. Seller asked for a screenshot of the confirmed payment. I obliged. He said he would ship asap: "Payment would be sent to my PayPal family and friends only. I'll ship and provide receipt/tracking number before the end of today my friend." On Tuesday, 11 Oct I contacted seller again after net receiving shipping confirmation, asking if he had shipped. No response. I sent followup texts every day 10/12-14, asking if he had shipped. No response until Oct 14 1643, "Sorry have been busy with work And didn't get the first payment that's why I'm asking you to send again." I texted back, "I resent it and sent you confirmation." Seller replied, "I didn't get the payment I want you to send it again I'll surely refund you if I get the first one you sent." I resent the visual confirmation of payment. Seller responded, "I check but still haven't gotten the money yet." I told him I'll call Paypal again to have them verify receipt of funds before I send you more $. His response, "Or don't worry I would try to do Tbag and ship asap. I have no idea what Tbag is but I'm getting fairly agitated by this point. So, I call Paypal again to reverify receipt to seller of a completed transaction, which they did and provided to me a Transaction Id. I forwarded that information to seller on Saturday Oct 15 1259. On the same day, I noticed an email from the Forum notifying me of activity on the seller's thread. When I checked, I saw the seller had posted a 'ttt', indicating to me he was continuing to try to sell the item he had already 'sold' to me. I texted one last time asking him why he posted the 'ttt' when I had already purchased the item and to let me know if he intended to ship. No further response has been received, so I posted a PSA in the sellers thread calling for caution and inviting a response from OP. The thread was subsequently closed by admin and I received an email indicating same pending a response from seller. From admin, "@jost6453 Please provide an explanation of what is going on with the transaction between you and Stormcrowe." and "@Stormcrowe Please post a thread in the Transaction Feedback section - with as many details as possible to substantiate your complaint." So, here we are.... Screenshots of the entire text conversation between 'Conrad Dalton' and myself are available if necessary or requested. Special thanks to Vetteman Jack for flagging my PSA post and closing the thread pending investigation.

I am the seller and my name is Dennis Jost. (Jost 6453). My email is DJMSSP@mediacombb.net. Alternate email is: dljcustomdsgn@gmail.com. Phone number is 319 939 0400 lf anyone wants to call me to discuss. I am not Connor Dalton, don’t know him, and certainly don’t know how he got involved with this thread. I have not received any messages from Stormcrowe and have not received any payment from him. Im sorry if he has been scammed, but it wasn’t by me. Please restore my good name and reputation.

Default Confused

Mr Jost, there seems to have been some confusion regarding this issue. I would also be interested in knowing how this ‘Connor Dalton’ character injected himself. Very curious. I suppose anyone can post and represent themselves as the seller. Dennis, I apologize for allowing myself to be scammed and inadvertently trashing you. Apparently I will just eat the cost and chalk it up to lesson learned. However, I am still interested in the shifter **** you are selling, if it hasn’t sold. Apologies again for the confusion. Very curious.

I found the **** when cleaning out the garage. Forgot I had it and really don’t care about the $. If you can use it, it’s yours for $15 to cover shipping. My PP is: djmssp@mediacombb.net. Best regards.

It would appear that the buyer in this case has been tricked into sending money to someone who is not the original seller of the item. If buyer sent payment using Family and Friends option, there is no protection offered for a bad transaction. Based on the conversation between the two parties (jost6453 and Stormcrowe), this transaction will be resolved but the buyer may be out some money from the scammer. If known, recommend Stormcrowe provide me with the user name of the member that contacted him and scammed him out of some money - I can then take action.

Just for the record, jost6453 does not fit the profile we have seen for scammers and has been a long term member of the forum. I am going to remove the original FS ad and if for some reason the transaction does not happen after all, jos6453 can repost the thread.

@Stormcrowe

@jost6453

Closing this Transaction Feedback thread. If either party needs to contact me, it can be done by PM or e-mail to ls1nut@yahoo.com.
