I realize that Top Flight Automotive is not new to folks here and has established themselves as a trusted vendor for Corvette parts/accessories over the years, but with their recent acquisition of the Corvette Mods name and catalog, there was more than a little concern (at least on the C7 side) about whether or not the quality of service or parts that people have come to expect from TFA would go downhill. I never ordered from Corvette Mods prior to the sale and I've never ordered from TFA, until the other day. I just wanted to briefly share my positive experience about my purchase to hopefully help someone else out that might be on the fence.

I've been looking for stage 3 carbon fiber winglets for the front splitter of my C7 GS. A Google search led me to TFA. I found a set that I thought looked like they might work but I had a few questions prior to purchase so I sent an email. 2 days later I received a response back from TFA (I originally emailed on a Saturday) answering all of my questions, the biggest one being that I could return the item within 30 days for a full refund. I decided to place the order and received an email the very next day stating that the item was out of stock and they were expecting it back in stock in 1-2 weeks. It took about a week and I received another email with shipping information. Since I don't live too far from TFA, the item arrived the next day packaged well and exactly as described. That was about as good of customer service as I could have asked for and would not hesitate to buy from TFA again. Hopefully this helps someone.

For anyone that wants to keep reading, I'll give my review on the carbon fiber winglets.

One of the questions I had for TFA was what brand they were and if they were real carbon fiber or not since the description on the website did not specify. I was looking for something to match the factory carbon fiber. I was told that they were EOS brand and they were real carbon fiber. I know EOS is on the cheaper side and their quality is either on par or nowhere close. Since I was reassured I could return these, I decided to take a chance. To my surprise they did seem to be real carbon fiber, which I didn't think EOS made. As for matching the factory carbon fiber, they're close. Not exact as the factory carbon has a bit of yellow/brown tint and these are more of a greyish tint. They fit perfect and the carbon pattern looks really good.
The only thing I have to compare it to is Apsis brand. Last year at Corvettes at Carlisle, I bought their stage 3 winglets and walked them back to my car and tried to install them. They didn't fit without modification, which I was not willing to do to a $620 part. Apsis tint was also just slightly off from factory, so I returned them. I realize almost no one out there seems to be able to match the factory carbon fiber tint exactly, but to me it's close enough. I certainly like it better than the carbon flash winglets clashing against the carbon fiber.

Here's a link to what I bought. Installed pics below.

I've often wondered about aftermarket additions against factory parts.

It must be incredibly difficult to match the fiber, the resin, the manufacturing process and even the edge fillets built by OEM. The fit and finish look great.

99% of people seeing your car on the street will never know that one is factory and the other is not. They will remember your car as a complete package. The others will understand the difficulty of finding good quality parts.

That's what I was thinking. It's a close enough match and I like it better than just plain carbon flash.
