Default Problems with RPI.....

Am I the only one who has had a rough time communicating with RPI? I have left many messages, asking for a return call. I sent forum PM's, etc. They sent a PM asking what would be a good time to call me, and I told them between 1:00-5:00 PM. I'll admit they did call me at 3:00, but something unavoidable came up and I was driving the car. RPI asked if they could call me back at 4:00 sharp. I replied yes. I was home by 3:45. 4:00 came and went. So I called them and left 2 messages. Nothing since. Ive been a good customer with them, and this wouldve been another $400+ purchase, and wouldve amounted to about $900 spent there in the last 10 months. Many vendors here sell what they do, and they'll be who I spend my money with from here on. I'm done with RPI.....

Same here, had issues with them on an order late last year and very POOR communication on their part- I finally got my order almost 6 weeks after I ordered with only 1 reply to my numerous emails that said "I'll have to check with the shipping guys", never heard back after that so a week later, I sent my last email asking them to cancel the order, the order showed up about 5 days later-

Can you believe people sticking up for a business that tried 1 time to return my 7 or 8 calls??!!! What an effort RPI made, eh?! They've had all day today to contact me, and nothing yet. That says all you need to know about RPI. So, I ordered it somewhere else. Same price, 1 phone call-Presto, no problems. Took 7 minutes for the info they, and I, needed.

They are also not an accredited business with the BBB as their website claims, ask me how I know.

Hello,
Please email bboone11800@gmail.com with your contact information and she will call you asap. We close at 4 so Eastern time so I'm not sure why someone would tell you they would contact you at 4 sharp. I'm going to look into that now and who told you that. We have been moving some of our resources around who don't usually do customer service to help get caught up on emails/customer issues, seems some miscommunication happened. Im going to get with everyone and review this. Sorry that someone told you that and didnt follow up but Brandy can review anything with you and she is aware and waiting for you email.

First order they said 4-5 weeks. It took 8-1/2 weeks with them ignoring most of my calls and emails. Foolishly order another item that should have been a quick delivery. Took 10 days to ship and now it is lost in the USPS. Left numerous calls and emails asking RPI to help

I just don't understand why a company such as RPI that depends on a large portion of their business from the CF, would allow their agents to disregard emails and phone calls from legitimate, paying customers.
There are vendors on CF that do provide good and mostly excellent customer service. Communication between vendor and customer is paramount and cannot be ignored.

I just recently had an issue with them as well...ordered a part on 4/17, got an email on 4/21 asking for me to send $30 more on top of the $374 I had paid over a pricing error... responded within 30min of that email asking for an explanation of what this error was and why they would delay an order over $30 and didn't get a response until today and was basically told sorry the vendor increased the price and we won't ship it until you send us $30 because I guess they can't handle a $30 loss...I just canceled the order out of principle. I believe they operate under southern car parts as well and I spent close to 1k with them last year.

Hi everyone,

We want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hear your concerns, and we understand the frustration that delayed shipments, unanswered calls, or lack of clear communication can cause. That is never the experience we intend for our customers.

We understand that delays and poor communication are incredibly frustrating, and we take full responsibility for falling short in those areas. Our priority now is fixing the process and making sure every customer gets the attention and service they deserve.

We genuinely value the Corvette Forum community and the trust you’ve placed in us over the years. That trust means everything to us. We are taking concrete steps to ensure our service improves—from expanding customer support to refining how we handle backorders and pricing discrepancies.

If you’ve had a recent issue, please send us a PM, or reach out directly at bboone11800@gmail.com so we can make things right. We’re here, we’re listening, and we’re committed to earning back any lost confidence.
