Default Chicago Corvette

Absolutely the worst Corvette vendor. Horrible interactions. I have never in 45 years and numerous Corvettes had such a terrible experience as I have recently had with Chicago Corvette. They clearly damage the reputation of all other Vet suppliers. I recently made the mistake of sending my C3 distributor to them for rebuild. It wasn't until I had already done this that I then saw all the complaints in regards to them on line.
My sense is this is two guys working from home in Oregon one of which "ROBERT" who hates what he does, hates customers and has to be the rudest Vet person I have even encountered. Unfortunately, he is the one who always answers the phone. They truly should close up shop and go away.,
After shipping my Dizzy Priority mail to them which arrived in 48 hours for only $18 I phoned and asked for confirmation of receipt. I was told "didn't you track it" "then you know it arrived"! I was blown away at the smugness. I hadasked in a note if they had a speedy service available I would be willing to use. A few days later "AL" whom I believe is the primary owner phoned and told me it was ready for return, great. He was pleasant and courteous and stated it would go out the same day. The following day I called once again and regrettably Robert again and asked if I could get an email with the invoice and tracking number. I was told in no uncertain terms "No" invoice in box and here is the best part and I quote...... "knowing the tracking number won't get it there any quicker! I was speechless. He could tell and quickly stated he would get it and call me back but only if he didn't get too many other calls during the day. OMG! He Never phoned! He stated it did not go out as Al mentioned the day before but would go out that day.
It was apparent that this was still a 1970's operation. Automated emails to customers do not exist. Now having shipped the dizzy clearly via Priority Mail and asking for an expedited service which apparently, they did I only assumed it would be returned in an expedited fashion. Nope they shipped it snail turtle UPS ground no option given. As "Robert refused to provide me a tracking number and I had a Corvette show I was considering attending over the weekend to register for now 5 full days away, I phoned UPS in the "Philippines" and got the info to track. 5 days later no Dizzy. It sat in a local center for almost 3 days.
Here comes the best/worst part. Unlike every single Vet parts supplier in existence I was unaware that they decided to demand signature on receipt! I was Never informed of. That was not possible for me . The driver came and left and left a sticky that it would be sent to some UPS ACCESS location elsewhere, which again I had no possible way to get to during business hours. I have in 50 years and owning 5 Corvettes presently had a Vet parts supplier do this. I begrudgingly phoned "Robert" and asked for why and for assistance. He curtly and painfully gave me the song and dance reasoning would not tell me why I was uniformed of in advance or why it was shipped UPS snail and no tracking. He knew I was significantly frustrated. He then stated he would contact UPS and get back to me. The lie continues. I attempted to contact UPS and it is futile, automated only and after enormous persistence found a line that gets you somebody in the Philippines. All they could do is send an email to the local hub marked Urgent and to call me.
Nobody from UPS ever did. Robert NEVER called me and I was not surprised. Now 7 full days later I see from the tracking number it is being dropped at some retail store 4 miles away that I cannot get to during the day and again I cannot contact UPS for help. I phoned Robert again knowing it would be to just vent. I got a voicemail that stated it was "FULL"! no message possible.
I expedite ship to, they expedite repair of and now a full week later I am no closer to getting than when they still had. I don't even know what to do. It should be noted that no matter when you phone CC he will never answer the phone "Chicago Corvette", it is strictly a disgusted " hello. What does that tell you about this business. I have no idea now if and when I will ever receive my dizzy but this business has no business remaining in business and "Robert" should clearly disconnect himself from as he and they are negatively impacting the numerous other Vet suppliers who for the most part are supportive, responsive and courteous. He is the rudest most arrogant sounding individual I have ever dealt with in 50 years of Corvette ing. A simple search of reviews of CC delivers innumerable negative reviews with very few otherwise. In fact the few that are not negative clearly read as if they were planted and prompted.
As an NCRS member and Large Texas Club member it intend to make it my mission that my message here be widely disseminated.
Be sure to go elsewhere.

Well this explains why I have not heard a peep about the order I put in last week… not even a notification of it being shipped out, or at least a label being created.

They sell parts they dont have in stock
They will go buy it else where then sell it to you after you order

VERY VERY shady
I do not buy from them !
