Had an issue with an order placed through RPI, they refused to work with me, so I contacted the Better Business Bureau. The BBB contacted RPI and they refused to work with the BBB also. I received an email back from the BBB representative stating that RPI will get a "ding" on their BBB record but there was nothing else they could do for me.
RPI's website clearly states they are an "Accredited Business" with the BBB. They are lying to their customers and people should know this.
I called the BBB after many months of going back and forth with RPI over APR carbon fiber parts. They canceled one of my APR orders without me asking for it to be canceled and then I had to jump through hoops to re-order the parts at the price I originally ordered them at. I had issues with my APR products and APR told me to go through the vendor I purchased them from. RPI was not helping in a timely fashion and didn't help with some issues at all. I worked with them for months before deciding to contact the BBB.
I also ordered clear lenses for the rear bumper and one broke with zero effort while installing, they just clip into place. It's not rocket science. I contacted RPI to return the item, because it's an inferior product. Instead of refunding me my money, they sent me another set, which I didn't want. Still haven't received my refund and I still have both sets of lenses. I am willing to ship back for a refund if RPI actually wants to do something right for once.
They wouldn’t work with the BBB, and I have the email to prove it. They made no “good faith effort to resolve the dispute” per the BBB.
