Has anyone else been a victim of Corvette Centrals bait and switch? I ordered bumpers last year and they’re still not here, and now they’ll telling me that they want another $400 for them. Talk about Shady. They keep telling me that the parts aren’t available, and that they have to contact the manufacturer- only to find out from them, that they are the manufacturer, and Ecklers orders a dozen at a clip.
I’ve heard from lots of other people, across many different social media platforms, and I’m reaching out to all of you for where to go for quality parts. I had to escalate the issue with my credit card company and they will be handling it from now on. I’m sure everyone has had an issue with everyone at some point- this just seems to be incredibly short sided for them.
However I tried to take advantage of their St. P 10% discount sale and the website wouldn't load the cart, wouldn't update the cart, wouldn't process the payment, etc. It took a looong time to get a page loaded or I got a timed out message. Somehow the order was eventually sent to them for processing afterwhich I received a (legit) request for payment - still had problems with the website but it finally went through. Something glitchy is/was going on.
That’s not the problem tho- I ordered the parts in Nov at one price, and now months later they trying to screw me out of $400 more for the items- and they still dont have a shop date.

My order page lists order dates that are two days later than the actual order date.
It's taking a week for them to fulfill orders that are in stock and then they send them USPS which is the slowest delivery on the planet.
They also use the word "correct" for items that are not correct according to established restoration guides.
I am on hold now checking on an order that is in the Invoiced/Shipped category but doesn't have any tracking info; I started as caller number 9 and am now number 3 after 23 minutes on hold.
I have dealt with all the big Corvette suppliers in the C2 realm. Zips, top flight and many others.. I think Corvette Central stands out as the worst supplier I've ever dealt with. I currently have an order with them that I made 2 months ago. Some of the parts that were "in stock"have not arrive and are not expected to arrive for the next 2 to 3 months.... Understand a part or two that all of a sudden becomes backwarded. I get that. But when half my order is back ordered something is programmatically wrong.... I would suggest staying clear unless you don't care about getting your parts for 3 to 6 months. Prices are not that much better than anybody else so I'm not sure why people go back for the continued agony of waiting and waiting...
