Last month I started rewiring my 62 and replacing the windshield. I was motivated to get it done quickly as a couple family members wanted to use it. It turns out that the windshield post were in
need of replating and this was certainly the time to do it. I did some searches on the forum to find some plater recommendations. I picked 3 or 4 and called them, prices were really up there and the
lead times were way out there so it looked like I would have to put the old ones back in. My last call was to Custom Chrome Plating in Grafton, Ohio. I spoke to Rob and we talked about the situation and he said, get them
to me and I will work the in. Also his quote was about half of the others. I sent him the parts on February 10th and had them back on March 21st. The parts look fantastic.
They do excellent work. Jon has been in the business for quite some time. They did my 61 bumpers in 1998 and they came out beautiful and still look that way today. A small shop but huge quality workmanship. Google them, there is a video explaining the whole process. Can’t say enough good about them.
They are a great company. Did my C2 bumpers coming out of the pandemic. Great job. Not cheap but no chrome shop is these days. They must be caught up on work, I waited a year in line and then about 5 months to do the job. Original bumpers not damaged only a re-weld on one of the captured nuts. I live about 20 minutes from the shop so no shipping charges. Jon is a stand up guy.
