Did Ecklers break the law?
I needed a complete exhaust system for my 81 Corvette so I ordered it from Ecklers and had it shipped to California. I install the system and go to get it smogged only to have the car fail the visual,the catalytic converter isn't certified for sale in California and a company cannot sale or ship an emissions component that isn't CARB certified with an EO number. Was Ecklers so quick to make a sale that they went around the law just to sale a part? I've been in touch with Ecklers and would like them to pay installation fee,pay to have it removed and pay to ship it back. In short,once they get there exhaust back I will not of been out a dime Ecklers won't take back a used exhaust and the most they've offered is $300 towards a $1100 catalytic converter. They clearly broke the law in not only selling this part but shipping it to California. Ecklers,what was once a solid parts supplier is now just another place selling parts. I'm going to press the issue until Ecklers does the right thing.
