Default wheel weights

I will shortly be switching from painted rims to chrome. Currently my painted ones have the standard wheel weights that are crimped on the lip of the rim. In looking at other "chromies", I see that some still use the "crimp-on" style while others use the stick-on square weights. Any opinions on which is better??????

Well I don't know that one is better than the other. The factory uses the clip on weights because they are cheaper and don't tend to come off. Aesthetically the stick on weights look better because they can be placed inboard of the lip for a clean look. Some people complain that the stick on weights tend to come off. In my experience if you clean the mounting surface well they seem to stay on just fine. I would go with the stick on weights. Hope this helps.

I just always have the clip-on's mounted on the back side of the rim. As long as it's not on the face of the rim I don't care, I just don't want to see it. If anything, the clip-on's would be less visible especially if you have open slotted rims (like ZR1's)
