Tire rack shipping !
I ordered 4 Sumitomo tires from the Tire Rack.
On the checkout page it showed them as being special order from the Nevada warehouse. The shipping cost from Reno to Spokane was about $11 cheaper than from Indiana, so I went with Nevada since I have plenty of time to wait for the tires to arrive.
I received a shipping confirmation from the Tire Rack yesterday showing my tires have been shipped, from Indiana for the Nevada price, WOOHOO!
I ordered the tires on friday evening (pst) and they shipped on monday morning.
This is an excellent example of GOOD customer service.
Way to go Tire Rack!

i usually order them monday AM, and get them wednesday

Just bought a 4-tire set for my son's '92. Great service and price - tires arrived a full day ahead of schedule. Bought tires before and they came simply taped together - this time they used white-plastic strapping (much better idea).
The bottom line, they are the price-setters for online buying - fair S&H costs and fast shipping. They have expanded their "testing" data area and the upgrade garage (where to get tires mounted) is terrific!!

Not only is TireRack very competive on pricing, fast on shipping and outstanding on service, but Luke personally goes the extra mile to help CF members.
Without my even knowing (till after the fact) he jumped in to help out with a tire warranty problem I was having with a manufacturer.
Tirerack always gets first crack at my business.....
