I am thinking about putting z06 17" X 9.5" chrome rims on the both front and rear, with 275/40ZR17 tires all round as well. Does anyone know of any problems doing this, especially since I would be going from 18" to 17" on the rear? Can I use my old tire sensors? Would I need to re-calibrate my speedometer as well? Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

The Z06 wheels, that I am familiar with, are non EMT so I do not think the sensors will work. However, they say they will have the EMT version out shortly. As far as the recalibrating your rear tires, check the diameter of the 17" 275/40's to the 18" 275/35's from the manufactures info. I believe they are both about 25.7" so no adjustment will be needed.

If you do not get the EMT type wheels, and want to run tire sensors, I think "Smart Tire makes them and are available through Tirerack and other vendors.

Gordy M,
Thanks for the info, I will check with the Tirerack about the sensors.
