Default Help Please!!!!

Ok I posted this a while back. and didnt get much responce. Im about to buy some new tires. I have stock 2000 thin spoke wheels. I want to run 295/35-18 and Im confused. Some people are saying yes they fit fine but some are saying thats taking a chance, what ever that means. All 295's are saying rim fitment is 10"-11". on tire websites. Well Im nerveous now. Confused. If you own 295's on a stock wheel please let me know and let me know if there is any worries and how long did you run them. If you think its not worth it and should go with a 285/40-18 (for the meater look) let me know your opions. I want to go with the BFG KDW 2 or the Firestone Wide Ovals. Thanks for all the help.

On stock 18 x 9.5 I would go no bigger than 295/35/18.
I have run them w/o issue on the street and autocrossed/road raced and dragraced.
Here is a pic with 18 x 9.5 OEM Magnesium wheels all around, they work fine with a 275/35/18 front & 295/35/18 rear.

The KDW2s would be my choice.............have them on our 00' vert in a 295/35/19

So, what is the rim width on your wheels?

If they are 9.5", the 295 will work fine. It may not give you 100% full grip, but it won't be off by much.
I've seen people get away with some terribly mismatched wheels/tires in my time.....

Good choice.
Maybe a little noisy due to the larger tread block design but............I never have my radio on and don't hear it........ I wonder why ?
