Default Moving TPS

I am thinking about buying a set of chrome C6 Z06 wheels for my 05 C6. It says that it accepts the stock TPS, but how hard is it to move over? Never done it before, so I have no clue at all. If someone could give me step by step instructions, that would be great.

Homer3D, I just put polished on my 06 C6. Used the same sensors. I am assuming you are going to remove your existing tires and TPS and put them on the new rims. Here is what I did and you can use whatever information you care to.

1. Order the small seals that slip over the sensor on the inside against the rim. When you remove your old ones you may find that the small "o ring" is cut from installation. The part number is 25754190. I found a tire shop with a runflat machine that would let me work with them. When they dismount your tire, you remove the sensor, replace the "o ring" at the base and install in your new wheel. The sensors are held in place with a nut that goes over the valve stem. Do not overtighten that nut. Install the tires and sensors in the same location on the
car that they were removed from. Be sure to check that the tires go on with the proper rotation indication, or if you have Z51 tires with the notation of "install this side out".
I did this as described above and since the sensors went back on the car at the same location from which they were removed, I did not have to have them reprogramed.
If you do not feel like buying new o rings, you could take a chance and get away with it. I recommend you spend the 12 dollars or so and replace them and save the agrivation of possibly having to dimsount and replace them or find they are cut when you take them apart and now you have to find a set. PM me if I missed anything.

Hope this helps you,

Bob
