Custom Backspace & Offset ...
Please correct me if I'm wrong, or point me in the right direction if I recall correctly. I thought I had run across a link of a company who made custom wheels (backspace/offset/bolt spacing) from stock wheels.
I have a 1969 Stingray that I will be fixing up to drivable status this summer. It currently wears (4) 15" wheels now, all wrapped in 295/50-15 sized rubber. The fronts are too wide (rub swaybar and inner fenders) and the rears don't fill in the custom L-88 flares.
I came to the conclusion that ZR-1 sized 275/40-17s up front and 315/35-17s in back would help me out in both form and functionality. Everyone uses A-mold wheels and I figured I would be different in going with the 1990 ZR-1 wheel look.
My goal is to fit 1990 ZR-1 wheels onto my C3 without the use of adapters. Does a company exist who can do this for me if I provide the appropriate measurements?

What are you looking to get for the two wheels? If you don't want to make it public knowledge, send me a private message. Also, what price are you looking to get for two fronts?
There are just a few things that hold me back.
Cost: Right now I'm saving money for what I'll eventually purchase.
Rarity: I'm not sure that I want rare wheels on my Stingray for what would be used in daily driving.
Fitment: I don't know yet how C4 wheels fit on a C3. I've got flared L-88 fenders in the rear, so that's not a problem. Only backspacing and offset are the real issues.
I could have sworn that I have visited a website in the past, where it showed stock Corvette wheels all with different backspacing and offset dimensions.
Bummer about the website, I wish someone else knew about it. I hate sounding like I'm
Maybe I'll stumble across it again in my journey through the Internet.
What I really need are some locals with different wheels to see what I can fit on my car without (and with if I must) adapters. I know G.M. changed the firing order for the LS series of engines, but I presume all Corvettes still have the same 5 x 4.75" bolt spacing?
I may end up getting different sets of wheels for different purposes. I can see myself getting four C4 275/40/17 wheels with spacers/adapters and some rock hard tires (wear rating 340+) meant for daily driving, and a set of ZR-1 sized wheels & tires with more sticky rubber: Michelin Pilot Sport, Falken Azenis, Toyo Proxes RA1 and the like, for autocrosses, track days and some rare fun street driving.
