Just recieved some rims, multi-piece forged aluminum rims. They look fantastic but I noticed they aren't clear coated. So I guess I should send them off to get clear coated...Anyone know a good reputable shop?
Applied the Zoopseal... It takes quite a bit of prep and cleaning. You can't see the stuff when it dries. I now have to polish the lip and chrome parts.
Anyhow I tell you how the stuff worked in a couple months.
Hi Steve,
I purchased Boyd Coddington wheels. They are the FM9's, 5 spoke rims, with a polished lip.
They look similar to the ones on your white missile.
A yes.............the catch 22. I had my centers cleared on the 97 from HRE to minimize up keep. The lip is easy to do
But..........the vert's 545s came all polished and not kept up with to start with either.
I have found works the best for me. You may want to clear the centers.
Local guys..........I have not used them but others have http://www.precision-powder-coat.com/ http://www.flatlandershotrods.com/ http://www.vanwincoatings.com/

I will give the Zoopseal a try and if the stuff doesn't work I'll get the centers cleared.
I have heard of vanwin coatings on the radio. I didn't know they sold all those products.
