Any pix of 325/30R19's on rear of a C5?
Can anyone post pictures of this setup? I am wondering how far the C6 Z06 tires will stick out of the rear wheel wells of my C5... I plan on going with CCW 19" wheels on the back...
Backup plan is to go with 285's that go on a C6 with Z51.
Thanks!
Chuck

They will stick out , but only if you use stock C6 Z06 wheels. Using the Factory Reproduction wheels or Aceslick with the proper off set 58mm front and 65mm rear, and using an 11 inch rim minimum will work .And yes they will NOT rub front or rear, including front lock to lock . Any of the other wheel companies using this off set will also work if you are looking for a more custom looking wheel.keep in mind though that depending if you are planning a big brake upgrade these off sets may not work to clear the calipers. It is always best to contact your custom wheel rep and explain exactlly what you want to do
Hope this clear's things up a bit.

What do you think he means by that? The sidewall is shorter on the fronts by approx 1/4" and the rears are almost 1/2" wider than the fronts.
What do you think?
Thanks!

Chuck if you look at my picture's you can see for yourself .I do have a few more pic's if you are still uncertain . This combination works just great. I think what he mean's is that you loose that look of a drag racer with skinnier tire's up front. I personnally don't like that look for my Vette.Post some pic's when you do get it done. Merry Christmas .

Hey Manny:
Thanks for the great help. I will certainly post pix once I pull the trigger.
I still hope to go with a 275/325 setup.

OK... the fun of e-mail has worn off. I think you were right about John's comment... it was with respect to front/rear track, which makes sense. I really think either tire looks great up front.
I called up CCW and spoke with Chip. Those guys are awesome .
I discussed with him the 325/30/19 rear tire option and he said they will fit because the GY SC EMT is a bit narrower than other tires (like a Pilot Sport). I got so excited when he said they would not rub, I forgot to ask if they would stick out beyond the fender wells . Now I need to clear that bit of confusion up.
Other then that, I am hoping to go with the C6 Z06 tires on the CCW's. I think those combined with my Hotchkis sways and some Bilstein sport shocks would make for an awesome handling machine .

I still am not completely confident that 19x11's with 325/35/19's will tuck in the C5's rear fenders - or at least not stick out past the furthest part of the fender.
I am pretty sure I am going to do it, but I would still like to see some more pix showing fitament.
Also, I was told a 19x11 has a 2" lip whereas a 19x11.5 has a 3" lip. That makes me think the 19x11's would keep the 325's stuffed in better.
Does anyone have a nice shot to show me how well they fit?

Chuck, here is the thread (with pics) from last October when I got my CCWs with the 325s in the rear.
Hope this helps.
BTW, I will be selling these 505As since they won't fit on my C6.

Thanx! Still, I have to know... they look like they are not tucked under the wheel wells... is it just the angle of your photo or are they sticking out? If so, how far out are they?

With the 11.5" wheels with correct offsets (inside of tire has only a hair between it and the inner fender well), these wheels/tires will definitely stick out. Sorry the busy pic here.. I took several shots from different angles before I pulled these wheels off my C5 before trading it in.
Again yes, these stick out past the fenders but make for a mean looking rear view, IMO. I really wanted to get extended quarter panels for the rear (3/4" wider) but heard too many issues with fit/finish with what is available for the C5.
I absolutely think the CCW 505s are one of the best looking wheels for the C5. High quality and John & crew at CCW are great to work with. Note: non-coated polished aluminum wheels are a PITA for maintenance. No pain - no gain..

Nice fleet of vehicles, especially that red car .
I thought they stuck out a tiny bit.
John at CCW did mention the 325's could go on a 19x11. The question is if that will be enough to squeeze those 325's back to the edge of the wheel well. I would surrender 1" of lip (ending up with a 2" lip) to do that.

I can't believe I am the only person interested in using Vette Maazine's setup. Hasn't anyone done it already? The article was in the June issue last year .
