Default Wheel Help

If you want to go with 19 x 11's (79mm) on rear, what's best on the fronts - 18 x 8.5's (56mm) or 18 x 9.5's (57mm)? Guess the 9.5's if you want the option of going with wider tires, correct? And that's why you'd go with the 11's on the rears, also?

Thinking about the F.R. C6 Z06 Motorsports for my Z51 C6.

yup, you'll want to go with the 11" rear and 9.5" front with either Z06 width tires, 265 f and 295 r or 275 f and 305 r for a bit more contact patch on the road.

Good luck with your decision, I'm sure it will look great,

Darion

Thanks Darion (P),

Pulled the trigger with the F.R.'s, but after a couple of weeks still in the box, I'm sending them back (18 x 9.5 and 19 x 11). Decided the offsets aren't what I'm wanting and the new Motorsports in the same sizes are suppose to be better for the C6 (79mm instead of 65mm). Fronts are still 57mm.

F.R. guy said to go with the 18 x 8.5 fronts and 19 x 11 rear. Wonder why he said 8.5 fronts? Any ideas?

GotVette, (P)

Hmmmmm, don't know why FR would say that. I guess it would depend on what tire combo you are going with. If you are going with stock sizes the front would be fine the rear a bit of a stretch on the 11 inch rim, I believe the C6 came with a 245 on the front and a 285 on the rear, correct me if I am wrong. Now if you are going with different tires I would go with a 305 rear and a 265 or 75 front in which case I would go with the 9.5" front. I guess it really depend on what direction you are going in the long run.

Have a great day,

Darion

You've got a great idea going on. Just pick the best brand.
