My sis recently had an accident in her '86 which destroyed three of the four C5 Z06 rims I'd put on the car when it was still mine. Same day as the accident we were already talking about doing exactly what you've done there with the one remaining rim.

I just used the glass off an existing table.
Unfortunately, it's only a temporary measure until my tires comes in. After that, I'll be mounting them on my FRC.
Somehow, I don't think painted thin spokes will have the same affect.
