Default Traction woes...

Getting yanked off the line by a fox body makes me hurt inside. I was feathering like crazy and still couldn't get the GYs to hook. Thankfully as I grabbed third I blew by him but the damage was done.

I'm planning on getting new wheels and tires and am stuck as to whether to go for wider tires for more money or slightly thinner tires for less.

car info: 1998 C5 / MN6 / Intake / full exhaust

Choices: (Rear)
295/30/19 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta / Cheapest

305/30/19 Nitto Invo / More Expensive

315/30/19 Not sure yet / Most expensive

When all said and done the car will have no more then 400-425 RWHP. Is it worth the extra money for the extra ~.5" or ~1" of traction or will I be fine with the 295s?

Minor suspension work will also be done after I get my wheels and tires.

Side note- Can anyone see my sig?

You've got a lot of work to do to get over the 400WRHP mark. Those fox bodies can be made crazy fast for crazy cheap. Are your GY's the runflats?

I'm getting the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas soon. I haven't seen too much "racing" reviews on them but they look pretty good. I've seen the 295's on some pretty good powered cars but not sure if there is enough of a difference from 295-305-315s.
