The wheel spacers that Ecklers advertises for converting 84-87 to 17" wheels, how thick are they? Does anybody have any that they can measure the exact thickness, I have some C5 wheels I need to move out, and from my calculations the offset difference is 18mm, or just over 3/4 of an inch. Do these spacers require modification to the existing studs, because if they are only about 3/4 of an inch thick, it would seem that the existing studs would still be longer than then spacer when bolted on. Just trying to make sure I don't get something that won't work....
I have a set of rear spacers from a 1987 coupe that were used on my mothers car. Excelent condition and have a thickness of ~5/8"to 3/4" (gotta measure them to be sure). They will bolt right up to the original lug patern and only require longer bolts. I am willing to let them go for $65 plus shipping.
BTW, you will require longer bolts if you choose to go with spacers since the offset is different. You will end up needing a bolt that longer by as wide as the spacer. (add 3/4" to bolts for a 3/4" spacer)
