I recently replaced my Goodyear EMT's with same. Got a Low Pressure warning from my right front wheel. Checked the pressure, 33psi. The LEFT one was only 23. Looks like a slow leak in that tire. Looked at the wheels carefully again. Based upon some light scratches that I had on the right side that are now on the left, and the DIC message, it appears they got the left/right order reversed on BOTH front and back wheels. The tires are directionally correct, but the sensors are now in opposite positions. Will this cause any active handling issues or any other safety concerns? What should I expect from Goodyear?
Re: Goodyear Installed my wheels backwards!! (BikerDuude)
I certainly do not see any safety issues with your situation so long as you fix the low pressure tire.
You should be able to reprogram each sensor so the DIC reads them correctly but I would let Goodyear do their job correctly and expect them to be very apologetic about it. Your problem tire needs to be dismounted anyway so that leaves the other three for them to correct. Make sure they use the stick-on weights placed behind two adjacent spokes. The newer machines tell the technician exactly where and how much weight to place behind each spoke.
