Currently running stock run flats on my 2001 coupe. F245/45-17, R275/40-18. I just ordered the Goodyear supercar tires in the stock ZO6 sizes. F265/40-17, R295/35-18. Can someone tell me the difference in the height of these tires? Are they taller or shorter and by how much? On the bright side I do know the ZO6 tires are wider.

The reason I ask about the wheels is because, by your sig, it looks like you have the stock 5-spoke C5 wheels (17x8.5 and 18x9.5) which are really too narrow for the Goodyear supercar tires (Z06). Although you might get someone to stretch them on there for you, I would not do it. The stock Z06 wheels are 17x9.5 and 18x10.5, a full inch wider.
Anyway here are the specs from the Tire Rack site::
Stock front runflats
245/45YR17 Recomended Rim width of 7-9.5", section width is 9.6", tread width is 9.2" and overall diam. is 25.6"
Front F1 Supercar
265/40ZR17 Recomended Rim width of 9-10"", section width is 10.7", tread width is 9.6" and overall diam. is 25.4"
Stock rear runflats
275/40YR18 Recomended Rim width of 9-11", section width is 10.8", tread width is 10.3" and overall diam. is 26.7"
Rear F1 Supercar
295/35YR18 Recomended Rim width of 10-11.5"", section width is 11.7", tread width is 10.2" and overall diam. is 26.1"
The Z tires are a bit shorter, not a big deal. I would be much more concerned with cramming those tires on your narrow wheels. You might read where guys get away with it but I would not do it.

Thanks for the info. Goes to the shop Wed. Those who have done it seem to think the car handles very well. Anyway, until I save up enough for the rims this will have to do.

Just got off the phone with Tire Rack. Changed the size and also went with the Bridgestone Potenza S-O3 Pole Position. Thanks for the advice.
