You CAN ....but I wouldn't put my life on it ...now going 120+ mph and risk an issue with loss of tire pressure
Is your life worth more then a couple hundred bucks for new tires ?
Yes,it is, but it's more like $850.00 for 2 as most everyone says not to run 1 new and 1 old thus requiring 2 new tires. And yes it's worth a lot more than just that to risk catastrophe over tires. I'll just wait til I can get 2 new drag radials which is going to be even longer now as we need a new battery and 2 new front tires as well. Oh well it's always something.

Ain't that the truth....ALWAYS something... but you gotta pay to play!
Well believe it or not, but I had a local tire dealer tell me it would be ok to plug it. It's been back on for about 300 miles and a couple of good burnouts with no trouble at all yet. I will keep you posted.
I have pluged a few for the same reason, as long as they are in the tread area and no where near the sidewall it can work ok.
All has been good and ya just gotta watch the pressure and as the tire wears down......look closely at the patch area.
IF after wearing down, the plug/patch area starts to look ragged.....time for new
