Default Offset Questions

ok I bought C5 rims the front are +58mm and the back ones are +65mm
I have a 1995 Corvette would these fit just fine . whats my offset and why the lower the offset the more the tire goes out (ex. 56mm goes in more than the 36mm)

Thanks

Positive offset is measured from the hub mounting surface in to the centerline of the tire; higher offset moves the tire in, less offset moves it out. Stock front offset of a C4 is 56mm with either the 8.5 or 9.5" wheel, so your new ones with 58mm should be just fine. Stock rear is 56mm with 9.5" wheel, so at 65mm they will sit slightly farther in but won't hit anything. Here's an interesting chart for your amusement:

Vette Brakes & Products sells spacers. A 1/4" would put you really close to stock and your studs would probably reach. I'd measure myself or talk to them to be sure .
