Currently running BFG Kdw2. The one with the stupid "tribal" tread pattern (bought it that way).

Went for a long ride today and upon parking the car noticed lots of cracks in the left rear that weren't there before.

Current sizes are 275/40/17 (front) and 295/35/18 (rear). Stock Z06 wheels.

Trying to find replacement tires and the best ones I can find in those sizes for a reasonable price are Michelin PS2's at about $1400 for all 4.

Looking at recommendations on this site, for a summer car, people tend to like the Nitto NT01...but they don't come in 295 for the rear. I had Nitto NT555 on my GTO but again they don't come in that size.

So, should I stick with the 295 in the rear or should I go for a smaller width?

I've had PS2's on an S60R I owned and had no complaints either.
