Default West Coast Corvettes. Unbelievable, what a ripoff.

I'd like to hopefully save someone the hassle of getting wheels from West Coast Corvettes, their Chrome Exchange Program- see below.

These wheels were on my car from May until September, and saw 1 or 2 rainshowers....

CHROME LIMITED 3 YEAR WARRANTY

All our Wheels go through the most extensive “Triple-Plating” process available. If taken care of properly, they will last as long as you own them. WCC offers a Limited 3 Year Chrome Warranty on all GM chrome exchange or OEM reproduction one-piece wheels, to the original purchaser, against defects in chrome workmanship. If, under the terms of the warranty, if any of our wheels peels or flakes, simply return it to our California location and we will replace it or re-plate it. The warranty covers the front surfaces of the wheel only. We do not offer any warranty on the backside or barrel of the wheel. Customer will pay all shipping costs on warranty claims. The warranty does require you to properly care for the products. Proper care consists of simple soap and water to clean, and on occasion, a mild non-abrasive car wax for shine. We highly recommend using a soft bristle wheel brush to access the corners and hard to reach areas as these are the spots most prone to failure. Once salt or brake dust gets into these areas, corrosion is quick to follow and this is not covered under the warranty. ****Never use harsh chemicals or cleaners, as you will probably scratch the finish.**** Although chrome plating is a durable and lasting surface, we do not recommend driving in ice or snow that has been salt treated. Salt & brake dust are very corrosive substances and will corrode not only the chrome, but also the aluminum. If these conditions are unavoidable, we highly suggest thoroughly cleaning the surface as soon as possible. Brake dust is also corrosive & must be cleaned frequently to avoid damage to the chrome. Make sure to clean your wheels thoroughly before storing it away for the winter. Salt & brake dust corrosion is not covered under this warranty. When installing the chrome wheels, please be sure the shop you choose is a reputable one with experience with chrome plated aluminum wheels. If they are not confident that they can mount the tire without damaging the rim, choose someone else. Improper mounting, as well as improper care, will void the warranty. For any warranty questions or claims, please contact your sales representative.

Hello , I spoke to our wheel specialist and also the sales manager
Brandon and they both stated that those wheels are not under warranty.
We do not warranty the barrels at all, but even if the face of the
wheels looked like the barrels they wouldn't be under warranty due to
salt damage & brake corrosion. We have warranty paperwork that goes
with all the orders explaining this. Sorry for any inconvenience this
may have caused you. If you have anymore questions please let me know.
Hope you have a great rest of your day!

Sincerely,
Bobbie Yorba

Three year warranty, I bought them less than a year ago, and only had them on for 5 months.....all I wanted, was for them to be repaired. Even IF there was something in the warranty papers about not covering the drum, wouldn't you think this should be posted in the warranty section on their website? You know, BEFORE I purchased???!
