Default GSC Question

Just replaced original Good Year GSC's on the rear of my 96 LT1. Question is: What makes the rears wear out so much faster than the fronts? I could certainly see if one was into street/track drag racing. As one that is not into racing or burnouts, anyone have any answers..

Even moderate acceleration is going to wipe the tires of their tread...They have a soft rubber compound for grip as do most all High Perf. Tires so wear is expected to be an issue more so in the rears...

Next time you replace them you may want to shop around for a higher tread wear rating. I am pretty sure you would notice and enjoy the results of wear.

Check the toe & camber on the rear, may be off. Find a really, really good alignment shop.
