The Bugatti's 1/8 mile traps are the same and the 60-130 and 100-150 times are actually a little better in this vid but it has some trouble launching.
These cars are pretty close.

They are, but the fact that the Corvette can now say that is impressive as that wasn’t the case when the Veyron came out.

No doubt.
The Veyron was a crazy car in its own right but time has marched on.
I expected the Chiron to be right there, it's put down great results in the past.
For any amount of money it is tough to beat the ZR1/ZR1X for all out performance.
I've watched those cars since they were released a good 8 out of 10 times they launch super soft. Much torque management involved. The Veyron was better but still not perfect. I would say 50% of the time it launched hard.
There's no two ways about it ZR1 is amazing but like those cars it doesn't always get out the gate quickly. the X fixes that and is unstoppable at this point there's nothing that can touch the X. Insane.
You're looking at the future of hi performance. It's been brewing since the holy trinity came out and we all knew it. This just proves it. Have your cake and eat it too. The purists hate it because of "weight" and complexity... Just like a horse vs an internal combustion engine but hybrid tech is our only ice future.
The E-Ray now GS-X and ZR1X just showcase how great awd and hybrid combined tech is. Curious to see how Chevy combines the hybrid into the rwd C9. But I know it's coming in some form. Like 911s.

I’ve never doubted awd superiority for straight line traction from a dig especially on an unprepped surface. Hate is too strong of word, but I don’t like weight period whether it be awd or a hybrid system. Haven’t seen the ZR1X nor Porsche’s hybrid cars run faster lap times because the weight is a hindrance in the corners it’s just physics. When the car is entering a corner it’s more weight to slow down, which doesn’t help. When a car is exiting a corner and using 100% of the front tires grip for steering as it’s in a 4 wheel drift I don’t see the benefit to awd as there isn’t extra grip for acceleration. The rear slip angle actually helps to rotate the car to point it in the right direction, one could alter their line though the min speed would be even lower than it already is with the extra weight further making it have to catch up on the straight away. I like that there is an awd Corvette, but that doesn’t mean the red Corvette needs to disappear. I used to drag race, but once I started tracking on the road course I haven’t gone back to the drag strip as the corners are so much more fun to try and master.
we had 4 botched launches that day with the Chiron.... all of them I've raced had similar issues...
