My cars with a 12v system (including the 51 Chevy converted to 12v) have 53-54 Chevy 6v horns. A quick tap of the horn button sure gets everyone's attention!!!

I love those original prices in your parts catalog. I paid $250 to have a pair of 56/57 horns reconditioned a couple of years ago and that did not include the cores.
The bracket on the horn only goes one direction (on the clam shells....)
There are 2 different horns
Clamshell horns and smaller rounder style
Which one
Clamshells are 56 and early 57
Later 57 are rounder....
