I can't get my 89 6 spd to idle
I have:
Noid all the connectors
fired all the injectors on a bench
Tested the MAF and Burn module relays
New ICM
Set the TPS
Set the timing. Two FB said it looks like my distributor is a tooth off. But I have not removed the timing chain
18 inches of vacuum at idle
40 psi fuel pressure
All that is left is the IAC on order and the ECM
I just ordered a new IAC. It can idle 5/700 rpm. When it idles it is pulling 18 inches of vacuum. I sprayed starting fluid all over the manifold and plenum no change in idle.
like I said FB have said I can be one tooth off. I don't understand that. I am placing the rotor on the #1 ignition wire. I'm going to bring the engine to TDC with a measuring tool and see where the timing mark ends up. Right now my running timing mark is before the tab. If I rotate the distributor to get on the tab the engine stalls. Thank you
