C6 clutch life
Was wondering how others OEM clutches are doing. Mine has about 66,000 miles on it and is still working great. No slipping or chattering on start.
I bought my car new and have not really babied it. I rarely drag race it.

I have 128k on my original clutch, and that's with drag racing the first 2 years I had it. It's still going strong.

66k and change on it. I'd say about 3k total miles of that are on a road course. I have noticed that the engagement point is little higher than it used to be. When I need a new clutch I'll go for a 402 stroker....

You should get over 150k miles, maybe 200k miles out of a clutch. If not, you don't know how to drive a manual.

my c6 gs had about 120k on the clutch before i did a whole update. the clutch was on its last legs, but i drive it pretty hard and hit launch control more than a few times. bought the car at 30K~ish and not sure how the original owner drove the car.

Your clutch is barely broken in.
The stock clutches last a long time.

86K on mine and still going strong. You should make sure you keep the fluid fresh.

I had a C6 with low mileage. The torque tube is the weak spot. If you let the clutch out at just the right RPM it will chatter. Nothing you can do about it. I sold it and bought a C7 manual and it did the same thing. Not as bad but still there. That torque tube is a joke.
The C8 was the best thing GM ever did to the Corvette. Eliminate the torque tube. Smoothest engagement you'll ever experience!

I’ll take the torque tube, and any associated woes, any day of the week over a C8.
Good to see the longevity of the C6 clutches! I’m a shade over 11K on my H/C Z06 stock clutch.
