I put both feet out first and then I use my left elbow and forearm on the flat of the quarter panel to help push myself up. You kind of roll onto your forearm and out of the car. Easy Peasy!
I have severe arthritis in my right knee, so maybe this will work for you too.
1. Left leg followed by right leg out to pavement
2. Facing out, butt still in seat, feet flat on pavement, put your right elbow on the A pillar
3. Stand up using legs and right arm pressure at the same time
Thanks for the many suggestions...
I don't have issues with getting my feet out, just Ned something to grab in the launch phase (as NASA would call it).
I tried raising the seat to give me a couple of inches of room, but then I has headroom issues.
Holding the A-pillars looks promising. Also resting hand on the door jamb where it curves into vertical.
As I said, my main concern was causing wear to the seat leather.

just to be clear on what I wrote/do.
I do not grab or hold the A pillar.
I put my right elbow on top of it.
Then use it as assist leverage with my legs for exit.
When I bought my C8 in 2024, I noticed I was getting some hip aches related to getting out of the C8. So I started getting out of the car by relying more on my arm than my leg until I’m about three‑quarters of the way out. I use my left arm to push against the door opening at the back, never the seat. That lets me rotate my body about a quarter‑turn and stand up without straining anything. I am the same height and close to the same weight as you. I get out of my wife's LC500 almost the same way because it's also low. Now I no longer have hip issue.
I have set my Seat Entry and Seat Exit Memory to automatically move the seat up and as far back as possible and tilting the seat front down. On the coupe you get a bit more head room. Before I did this I would be banging feet/shins on the way in and out, holding doors etc but after I am much better and exit as if its an SUV.
YouTube is full of us old guys getting out of our cars. It's kinda sad and embarrassing at some point. The coolness factor of the car disappears when you start needing devices and aids to exit lol.
It's the price you pay for being old enough to afford a car like that.
I didn't have any trouble with my doorless, topless Bearcat, whose spot the Corvette now takes in the garage.
I tell myself that I don't have a problem getting out of my C8, BUT, I hope nobody ever takes a video of me getting out of it because I'm sure it's not too graceful looking. I certainly don't want to see what I look like getting out of it. To make matters a little more complicated, I'm on the taller side and most times I experience a lack of head room while getting out and frequently bump my head on the roof. This in turn usually knocks my ball cap off to the side of my head which I have to quickly fumble with and straighten up before I look even less cool while getting out of my super cool car. Ugh.....
