You wished some new pics ... here they are. Progress in chassis are in time. In June the model should be finished
In the last picture you see the complexity of the model. Only the carbs with intake are more than 200 pieces, developed in high precission only for this model.
Here a nice sentence of Michel, the builder: The chassis is really taking form with all the different parts coming nicely tougher, all being calculated at 0,1 mm precision
I think I have a really nice collection of more than 1000 Corvette models, but this will be my favorite ( until the next project ;-) )

This model is going to be worth more than a real Grand Sport.

Man, That is sweet. I watched Jay Leno one day when they first brought that model out. That is the big boy. I think they said it was worth 178K new...Not sure about that. But I'd love to own that one. But as most things.....it's way out of my price range.
I visited County Corvette in West Chester Pa today to look at the car. A very nice build evidently a show car initially . LS 9 /Tremec. !7'' GS front and 18'' GS rear. A/C power windows .Leather hood hold down straps. Black interior nice gauge version to my eyes black with white lettering. Asking price on windshield was $289,900.00. Now to me that is a bit high !!! But then again one can always start high. Since Mongoose no longer builds complete cars and Jeff Leach passed away years back it looks like Superperformance /Duntov is the only place in town to get a GS. With the serial number the car has it looks to be a Duntov version versus a Superperformance version . Will be interesting to see what it sells for. I probably should have kept my two coupes awhile longer with the prices they seem to bring now !! Hindsight is always 20-20 !!! ---------Ken

Unless I am wrong, Mongoose announced not too long ago that they are making Grand Sports once again. They seem to have gotten a license from GM. See post #2125.

The last I heard they would offering parts for their GS cars. Not complete cars. They had the licensing with GM for years so that is not new to them. -- Ken
