Yesterday I did the solder repair with success. Ready to reinstall I’m looking at those damn screws and how I’m going to get them in without dropping them 59 times and losing my mind.
well, brain has a light bulb go off. The screw hole flanges on the module are fairly thick. I grabbed some (1/8”?) silicone tube I had handy and cut small lengths the thickness of the flanges. Thread that on the screws and stuff them in the flanges. The screws stay in place and you can just reach in with the T20 and drive them home. So easy.
Most videos I watched showed 1/4” bolt to pry the cover off the module. Way too big. I tapped a #10-32 and drove it in with my drill torque set at 7-8 to slow the progress. Worked great.
