I used painters tape to protect the side of the car when I took off the rocker trim. Undo all the screws, pull out on the bottom enough to clear the brackets and push or hit it straight up as per GM service manual. My drivers side came off eazy. The passager side was stuck, I had to hit hard with my hand and it popped off and went flying!
