This article applies to the C6 Corvette (2005-2013).

Swapping out the factory steering wheel with one custom for you can really change both the look of the interior and the feel while driving. Fortunately for you, there's a couple different manufacturers out there that offer all different shapes, different options, and in pretty much any color and material you prefer. This amount of custom work comes at a price though, so it's important to take your time when deciding which is the perfect steering wheel for you. Another important item to keep in mind is that all the prices include a core charge, so you'll get part of your payment back when you return your factory steering wheel.

DSVettes, or Down South Vettes, has the most affordable option if you want to upgrade your steering wheel. With a base price of $550 including the refundable core charge, it allows you to snag a new steering wheel relatively cheap, around the same price you'd pay for a used OEM replacement. Depending on what you want, that price can easily triple as can the price of any of the other steering wheels on this list. However, DSVettes definitely seems to be one of the go-to companies judging by the amount of users on forums running these steering wheels. Recommended for those who want the best budget-oriented solution.

Caravaggio

Price – $700-1,500+

Core Charge – $200

Material – Any

The Caravaggio steering wheels are a work of art to say the least and offer some of the forum's favorite designs. While you don't see as many people using these versus steering wheels made by DSVettes, that doesn't mean they aren't quality. The craftsmanship that goes into these wheels is on par with the wheels made by DSVettes, but the price tag is a bit higher. The higher price is due to their base model steering wheel coming with higher-quality materials. Once you actually get into comparing price versus materials used, you'll see the prices are pretty similar between all the brands on this list. Recommended for those who want the sporty look and feel of a racing wheel.

APsis

Price – $1,000-1,500+

Core Charge – $350

Material – Any

You will notice that the APsis steering wheels focus more on carbon fiber versus other materials like suede or Alcantara. That's not to say you can't get those materials because you definitely can. it looks like they specialize more in using true carbon fiber to finish the look on a steering wheel. You'll also notice a lot of people will use APsis steering wheel trim pieces on other brands of steering wheels. If you're looking for something made with true carbon fiber, APsis is recommended. Recommended for those who want the flashiest pieces for their interior.

Auto Dynamics West

Price – $700-1,500+

Core Charge – $100-260

Material – Any

Auto Dynamics West is considered to be a mix of DSVettes and APsis in that they offer a lower budget option and focus a lot on using real carbon fiber as well. There's not as many people using these as much as the other manufacturers on this list, but these are still quality, handcrafted steering wheels. However, they do offer the most designs off the shelf versus the others without the need to make the call to get something truly custom. If you're looking to be different than the rest, look into these. Recommended for those who want to mix and match between a lot of different options.
