One Wild Ride

We've seen plenty of crazy Corvette-powered machines over the years, ranging from other branded rides with small block swaps to coachbuilt classics with Corvette power. Regardless, this 2014 Subaru BRZ powered by a turbocharged LS6 might just take the cake. This wild machine recently went up for sale over at Cars & Bids and managed to rake in $31,750 in the process.

Solving a Problem

As most are aware, the BRZ has always been knocked for having everything one could want from a sports car - rear-wheel drive, a manual gearbox, and a perfectly balanced chassis - but it's severely lacking in the power department. Originally powered by a flat-four-cylinder engine producing 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, it's no surprise the owner of this one ripped it out in favor of an LS6.

Cabin Mods

The mods don't stop under the hood, however, and this BRZ's cabin has been overhauled with a Corbeau driver's seat, racing harness, a rear seat delete, quick-release steering wheel, Holley digital dash, a 3.5-inch digital display, auxiliary gauges, and a fire extinguisher in case things go horribly wrong at the track.

More Power

The real story takes place under the hood, where the aforementioned C5 Z06-derived LS6 has been treated to polished heads, forged internals, a 92mm throttle body, and a BorgWarner S475 T6 75-mm turbocharger, all of which is controlled by a  Holley Terminator X Max ECU. That combo sends copious, undisclosed amounts of power to the rear wheels via a built six-speed manual transmission lifted from a 2007 Infiniti G35.

Additional Mods

To help put that power to the ground, the seller added a host of additional mods including 17-inch ROTA wheels, Tein Mono Sport coilovers, SuperPro front and rear sway bars with adjustable Whiteline end links, front and rear strut braces, PERRIN Performance front control arm braces, a Chase Bays brake booster delete kit, a Wilwood master cylinder, stainless-steel brake lines, Cadillac CTS-V brakes, EBC WRX rotors, and EBC Redstuff brake pads.

No Sleeper

On the outside, this BRZ loses its sleeper appeal thanks mostly to the presence of True Focus Fabrication front and rear drift bars with a parachute mount and an RJS Racing Equipment parachute with a billet Motion Raceworks release. Other exterior mods include Trackspec Motorsports hood vents, Street Aero splitters, a Vicrez carbon fiber trunk, and a Verus Engineering carbon fiber bumper spat kit.

Quickest BRZ?

Add it all up, and you've got what is likely the coolest (and quickest) Subaru BRZ on the planet. All it took, as is usually the case, was a little LS power, which has easily become the most popular swap on the planet for obvious reasons, as we can clearly see here.
